The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has partnered with Paystack, a digital banking platform, to launch “Operation Go Cashless”, a secure, contactless payment system across Nigeria’s airports.

This was disclosed in a statement on the official X handle of the National Orientation Agency on Monday.

According to the statement, all payments at FAAN revenue points, including airport access gates, will go fully digital.

The statement reads, “No more cash collection at these points!

“This bold step is designed to modernise airport operations, boost efficiency, and align Nigeria’s aviation sector with global digital trends. Passengers and airport users can now enjoy faster, safer, and more transparent services, while FAAN strengthens revenue assurance and enhances the overall travel experience.

“To make the transition smooth, FAAN has deployed trained brand ambassadors at airport gates, and passengers can also obtain a Go Cashless Card at access points or online via gocashless.faan.gov.ng. The rollout begins at Lagos and Abuja airports before expanding nationwide.”
