The National Union of Electricity Employees has called on stakeholders in the power sector to review electricity laws, which they described as defective.
They disclosed this at the 6th quadrennial conference of the electricity union in Nigeria and the leadership is concerned about erratic power supply in the country.
The union believed that if the sector is run efficiently, it will create millions of jobs for both formal and informal sectors of the country’s economy.
In a remark at the conference, the General Secretary of the union informed members that there are ongoing efforts to ensure agreements reached as a
fallout of the recent industrial action, are implemented.
