The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has asked the court to remand the former Labour and Employment Minister, Chris Ngige, in the custody of the correctional service pending trial.

However counsel to Mr Ngige, Tim Nkweto objected to the submission of the prosecution, he noted that the defendant is not a flight risk and will always attend his trial.

He prayed the court to admit the defendant to bail on health grounds.
