The renaming was part of a memo approved by the Council to recognise Buhari’s lasting impact, especially his initiatives like the Anchor Borrowers’ Programme, TSA, ERGP, and social investment schemes.

Dr. Alausa noted that renaming a university in Buhari’s honour reflects President Tinubu’s respect for education as a foundation for national development.

He praised the President’s continued commitment to human capital development.

The Ministry pledged to uphold the values of integrity and service exemplified by both leaders.
