It’s been weeks after the police in Edo state alleged to have discovered a ritualist den following a building stacked with about twenty mummified corpses along Ekhewan road in Benin city the state capital.

Since then, the police’s initial disclosure has caused a stir that hasn’t completely subsided due to reactions of residents of the state.

The Edo police command at a joint press conference stated that investigation is still ongoing following the expiration of the state government’s seven-day ultimatum.

The number of suspects taken is said to have increased to about 10 people, even though the police are still working to solve the mystery.
