DROMI engages 8,000 women, others, distributes food packs

Dr Rhoda Makinde Initiative (DROMI), a women, youths and children development Non-Governmental Organization has engaged over 8,000 women, youths and the aged in commemoration of the International Women’s Day.

DROMI is a brainchild of Honourable Abiola Makinde and Dr Rhoda Makinde in Ondo state.

They were engaged during commemoration of the 2024 International Women’s Day celebration with the theme, INSPIRE INCLUSION.

It was a week full of exiting events as the beneficiaries participated in different activities.

The fun-filled week began with the distribution of food packs to 2,751 women and the aged in Ondo city, Ondo state.

The grand finale of the International Women’s Day celebration which took place at the prestigious Event, Royal Event Center, off Ademologu Road, Ondo City was well attended.

The celebration continued online where a fortune Raffle draw was organized live on DROMI WORLD Facebook Page involving the participation of thousands of people across Nigeria and beyond.

Fifty (50) women emerged victorious and went home with 500,000 naira while others went home with other consolation prizes.

Earlier, 6 women received 100,000 each to help boost their business ideas while others got sewing machines, tilling equipment, among others.

In all, over 8,000 individuals where directly or indirectly engaged during the week-long celebration.
