The Department of Petroleum Resources says there is no truth in the story about a fuel scarcity in Abeokuta and Sagamu areas of Ogun State.
The Chief Inspection Officer of the DPR, in charge of Lagos Zonal office, Umaru Mohammed, made the clarification in Abeokuta, when he led a team of officers to inspect filling stations in the state.
He added that the team was set up to take a proactive step in line with DPR’s mandate to guard against hoarding of the product in the state.
