The Displaced Tiv people in Wukari Local government of Taraba State have appealed to Governor Darius Ishaku to implement the recommendations of his government’s peace committee recommendations towards providing enduring solutions to the Tiv/Jukun crises.

They believe this will enable them to partake in next year’s general election if the governor makes a formal pronouncement on the white paper that would aid their return to their ancentral homes in Wukari

This has thrown women and children into a hopeless situation that would require urgent intervention from the state government

They expressed eagerness to return to Wukari to participate in the 2023 general elections if the government would do the need.

The monarch in his speech expressed confidence that peace building efforts by Governor Darius Ishaku would address their demands.
