The Osun state government says it has found a partner in the government of France as it seeks to enhance human capital development.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola spoke while playing host to French Ambassador Jerome Pasquier and his delegation at government house Osogbo.
Osun State has enjoyed a long standing partnership with the French government especially in matters relating to the Rural Access and Mobility Project, O-RAMP.
The visit of the French Ambassador is coming on the heels of Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s policy to collaborate with both local and foreign agencies with a view to bringing landmark development to the state.
The Governor is seeking strategic assistance in cultural exchange, agriculture as well as vocational training to reduce unemployment
Governor Gboyega Oyetola commended the delegates for the visit and appealed to them to assist the state in its effort to revamp and regulate mining activities.
The French Ambassador says he is impressed with the state government’s implementation of the World Bank assisted project, Rural Access Mobility Project, RAMP 1 &2.
He said his home government was ready to cooperate with Osun state in scientific, cultural, education research and other specific areas that will boost the bilateral relations between Osun and France.
He had earlier paid a courtesy call on the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi
