Delta State Government, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and the UTM Offshore Ltd, have signed a Shareholders Agreement for the development of first-ever Floating Liquefied Natural Gas in Nigeria.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori at the signing ceremony in the NNPC Towers, Abuja believes the project will benefit the state and country especially in this era of energy transition.
With Delta state having 40 percent of the 202 trillion cubic feet of untapped gas reserves in Nigeria, it is only natural for the state government to be interested in investing in the huge resources.
At this signing of the agreement for the development Floating Liquefied Natural Gas, governor of Delta state, Sheriff Oborevwori emphasizes the importance of the project.
For the minister of state Petroleum Resources, is high time Nigeria began to earn huge revenue from its quantum gas resources. This move was commended by the NNPCL.

With the signing all the parties are committed towards achieving the establishment of the projects which will cost billions of naira.
