The activities of notorious thugs operating within Jos North Local government area of Plateau state, known as the Sara Suka is evoking much concerns amongst residents.
Some of the youths converged to address the situation.
TVC News Correspondent, Funom Joshua reports that Sara Suka is a cult group which initiates youths between the ages of 14 and 30 years.
The cult group is believed to have started as a political support group funded by prominent politicians in the northeastern state of Bauchi before
its gradual expansion to other northern States. It is one of other cult groups in the North which try to sway youths to their ranks
In Jos, it has become almost a regular occurrence for these cult gangs to violently clash among themselves in a bid to establish superiority, leading to serious injuries and deaths .
The situation has now degenerated from clashes among the various gangs to attacks on innocent and neutral members of the society, and now virtually every member of society is a potential victim of their dreaded attacks.
It is particularly worrisome in Jos north local government and has prompted concerned Youths to sit and discuss the possible ways to curb the menace of Sara Suka thuggery.
The Youth group says it will continue to initiate further efforts that will see to the end of Sara Suka in their community.
