A Kano High Court has declined to grant extension on the interim order it gave restricting the state Governor from interfering with the powers of four Kano Kingmakers.
Presiding Judge, Ahmad Badamasi made the judgement in Kano.

Counsel to the kingmakers filed a suit asking the court to extend the order pending the determination of the substantive suit.
This implies that Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje can now exercise the powers vested on him under the new passed “Kano State Emirates Council Law, 2019” to appoint or dethrone emirs found violating any of the provision of the law in the state.
