The ruling Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress in Taraba state are now trading words over the ruling of Jalingo Federal High Court that sacked Senator Emmanuel Bwacha.

The People’s Democratic Party PDP in the State had approached the court to declare the seat of Senator vacate for dumping the party on which he was elected.

Justice Simon Amobeda in his ruling ordered Senator Emmanuel Bwacha to immediately vacate his seat as a Senator.

He argued that his mandate in the red Chamber belong to the PDP not APC.

The Public Relationship Officer of APC who reacted to the judgement said that it does not come to them as a surprise base on the judge antecedent.

He added that the ruling will be challenged at higher court while the PDP commended the judgement.

Senator Emmanuel Bwacha who was formerly Senate Minority whip for Senators under the Peoples Democratic Party is a long time member of the National Assembly and was formerly a member of the House of Representatives.

He was later elected into the Senate under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party and has been in the Senate since 2007.

He later emerged as the Senate Minority whip until his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The Peoples Democratic Party dissatisfied with his defection went to Court to challenge it, seeking for an order for him to vacate the position.

He had also emerged the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Taraba State.

His emergence for the position as candidate of the APC was also challenged in Court and his candidature voided though the case is still being contested in the Courts.

The coming days will show the direction the embattled Senator will now take following his buffeting from all sides of the political divide.

The ruling by the Court does not however signify that he will immediately vacate his position as Senator.
