Nigerian Women on Wednesday staged a protest calling on lawmakers to revisit a gender bill that was previously rejected.
The women took the protest to the National Assembly, Abuja but were quickly barred by security operatives.
Lawmakers had on Tuesday rejected a bill proposing special additional seats for women in National and State Parliaments.
81 Voted in support of the bill while 209 voted against the bill.
