Image result for China-Africa cooperation features mutual benefit - Wang YiChinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister, Wang Yi has refuted criticism, that Chinese aid had contributed to a massive increase in African countries’ debt.

He said China is on the contrary, helping the continent seek independent and sustainable economic growth.

Wang spoke in an interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN) in Addis Ababa, during his visit to Ethiopia.

He said Debt in Africa has been a stubborn issue, left over from history.

Wang Yi said China has been respecting the wishes of the African people and has based cooperation on their demands and needs, with no strings or political conditions attached or political benefits sought.
