Champions League Finals: Liverpool or Tottenham, who wins the cup ?

Liverpool’s preparations for Saturday’s Champions League final have been boosted bythe availability of Roberto Firmino.

A muscular injury has precluded the Brazil international from featuring for the Reds since a substitute appearance in the last-four first leg at FC Barcelona on May 1.

However, Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that Firmino is fit to face Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid, although the boss refused to divulge whether his No.9 will start.

Firmino’s return means that, Naby Keita (thigh) aside, Klopp has a full complement to choose from.

Twenty-three players were included in Liverpool’s travelling squad on Friday, and UEFA regulations now permit the inclusion of up to 12 substitutes for Champions League finals.

An injury to a key forward has also headlined Tottenham’s build-up to the final in terms of squad fitness.

Harry Kane has not played since suffering ankle ligament damage in early April, and Mauricio Pochettino adopted a similarly coy approach to Klopp when asked if the striker would be in his starting XI on Saturday.

“We have one training session now and then I’m going to decide,” said the Spurs boss during a press conference.

Pochettino also reported no fresh fitness concerns ahead of the final.
