Two separate groups have staged protests at the Uwani Secondary School and Robertson Primary School where the by-election is expected to hold chanting protest songs for and against.
Some are asking the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to show them the result sheets before the election would commence while the second group claimed they have seen the result sheet and the election should commence immediately.
