President Bola Tinubu is 72 years today and this will be his first birthday as President of Nigeria.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari and the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu have extended birthday greetings to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on occasion of his his 72nd birthday.
Buhari wished the President good health and a long life so the country could benefit from his “excellent leadership.”
This was contained in a statement by the former president’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, and made available to newsmen on Thursday.
Governor Sanwo-Olu described President Bola Tinubu as a courageous, audacious, and passionate leader who is committed to the progress, growth, and development of Nigeria.
Sanwo-Olu further described the President as a visionary and master strategist.
Buhari commended Tinubu for making “sustained efforts to overcome the many problems of the country,” while wishing him many happy returns of the day.
President Tinubu had said that he will not hold a birthday event in deference to the prevailing situation in the country and insecurity.
He also said he will use the occasion of his birthday to reflect and re-dedicate himself to the task of building a more stable, secure, prosperous and united Nigeria.
The President paid respect to the Armed forces and the police, thanking them for their sacrifice and assured them that as the leader of the country, he is working hard to make life better for the people.
Members of the president’s cabinet and some of his political associates acknowledge the president’s efforts at ensuring good governance and improving livelihood.
