Buhari Calls For Unity Among APC Leaders Ahead Katsina LG Polls

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has led Katsina State APC stakeholders meeting ahead of the local government campaign flag-off on Sunday 26th.

This is among the notable political outings of the former president since he left office.

TVCNEWS news correspondent Abdullatif Yusuf reports that the meeting was held at the presidential banquet Hall in Katsina with a large attendance of political heavyweights in the State.

The meeting was another unifying moment for Katsina elites and political heavyweights to chart a cause for the forthcoming local government elections.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari, two former governors and their deputies and all serving senators and members of the House of Representatives were all in attendance to support the party.

Governor Dikko Radda, who spoke in the native language, described the moment as a very unique one in the political history of the State.

“The Unity that exists between our political leaders truly tells a story about our people and how much we are united to champion the well-being of our State”.

“Surely, politics is a game of numbers, and I Want to urge you all to mobilise support for our party in the forthcoming elections for more victory”.

“We are also working hard to impact the lives of the electorates in all sectors as we promised during our campaign”.

One after the other speakers at the event appreciated the efforts of the Governor and the performance of the party across the federation.

Former president Muhammadu Buhari whpo spoke in Hausa thanked the party leaders for carrying on the mantra of the APC and urged leaders at all levels to give their best in serving the people.

He Said “Leadership, especially at the top, has a lot of dynamics and challenges. As such, leaders should be prepared to translate dreams into reality”.

“I also want to share my struggles and success story to awaken those aspiring for office”.

“I pray for you and the country at large and more success for our party”.

Other speakers include the state Deputy Governor, ministers of art and culture Hannatu Musawa, her housing counterpart Ahmed Dangiwa, and party officials, among others.

It was a moment of reflection and reunion among members of the party who are determined more than ever before to continue to fly the flag of the party jealously.
