Bayelsa Civil Service holds Orientation, induction course for 1,200 new employees

A four-day orientation and induction course for the newly-recruited one thousand and two hundred civil servants has commenced in Bayelsa State.

Keynote speakers at the occasion, including the State Deputy Governor, emphasized the role of integrity, discipline and professionalism in
attaining purpose-driven fulfillment in career Civil service.

Ovieteme George reports that letters of employment were presented to the newly-recruited civil servants on 28th January this year.

Three months after, they attended a four-day orientation and induction course to have a firm grasp of modem trends in service delivery in the
public service.

Other keynote speakers want the civil servants to prepare for a life of leadership in the various ministries.

The exercise has changed the perception of some of the newly-recruited civil servants.
