Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has continued his offensive against what he described as Injustice and Inequality within the Peoples Democratic Party.

Governor Wike who hosted Senior Journalists from the Nigerian Television Authority, TVC News, African Independent Television, AIT, and Channels Television to a Media Chat in Port Harcourt said all he is fighting for within the Peoples Democratic Party.

The Governor who described the current situation within the party as unfortunate added that he will not stop fighting injustice within the Peoples Democratic Party said the party’s National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu has lost any moral right to remain in office.

He said his stewardship of the party has led to great division and he can no longer remain in office as the National Chairman having failed in his position as an impartial arbiter of the interests of all contending groups within the Peoples Democratic Party.

He said his role within the Peoples Democratic Party especially during the Party’s Presidential Primary is an ignoble one that needs no soothsayer to show his obvious partisanship.

He added that the Chairman has also soiled his hands by instituting a corruption ridden reign so far including collecting bribes from governors.

He accused the National Chairman of collecting a bribe of over N100 Million from a serving governor elected on the platform of the party.

Going Further Governor Wike said if he reveals what he knows about the Corruption ridden reign of Dr Ayu so far his Children will disown him publicly.

On whether its possible to heal the rift within the party’s ranks that has seen its Presidential campaign boycotted so far by 5 governors led by him and the National Chairman’s own State Governor, Samuel Ortom, of Benue, he said everything is possible.

He disclosed that he has shown his love for the Peoples Democratic Party by declaring that he will not leave but campaign for the party and its candidates but adds that their must be equity within its ranks.

He dismissed that alleged report of the suspension of the party’s Presidential campaign wondering where people are getting the kind of stories being peddled around lately.

On the report that his Political Mentor and Leader, Dr Peter Odili, was sent to him as a Peacemaker by the Party’s Presidential candidate, Governor Said that is not true adding that he met the Former Rivers State Governor on Thursday and nothing like that came up in their two hours meeting.

He described Dr Odili as a good leader and father who will not mislead his sons.

He also dismissed the alleged offer of the National Chairman resigning after the Elections in February wondering of what use the position of Dr Ayu after the Elections adding that if the party wins, the only relevant thing that will be on the table will be sharing of positions.
