Super Eagles striker Akor Adams made an immediate impact for Sevilla on Monday night, scoring twice to rescue a dramatic 2-2 draw against Elche in the Spanish LaLiga.
Fresh from international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Nigerian forward wasted no time returning to club action, delivering an inspired performance after coming off the bench in the second half.
Adams was introduced to the game as a substitute for Gerard Fernández and quickly changed the momentum in favour of the visitors, who had been struggling to find a way back into the contest.
He opened his account in the 75th minute, finishing clinically to give Sevilla renewed hope. As the match appeared to be heading for defeat, Adams stepped up again in stoppage time.

Two minutes into added time, he confidently converted a penalty, blasting a powerful effort into the top corner to secure a valuable point for his side.
The goals marked a continuation of Adams’ impressive form this season. He has now recorded five goals and two assists in 15 LaLiga appearances for Sevilla.
The 25-year-old forward also enjoyed a productive campaign at the recently concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he scored twice and provided two assists in seven matches for Nigeria.
His contributions played a key role in helping the Super Eagles finish third at the tournament. Nigeria battled to a goalless draw with Egypt in the bronze medal match before claiming victory 4-2 on penalties.
Sevilla’s draw against Elche moves the club further away from the relegation zone as they continue their push for stability in the Spanish top flight.
