The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) has concluded investigations into sixteen officers previously arrested for acts of indiscipline and breaches of service regulations, the Defence Headquarters announced on Monday.

The officers, whose arrests were first reported in October 2025, were investigated over allegations that included plotting to overthrow the government, actions deemed inconsistent with the ethics, values, and professional standards of the Nigerian military.

Following a thorough inquiry conducted according to established military procedures, the findings have been submitted to the relevant superior authorities.
