Primary and Secondary school teachers in Adamawa State have jointly appealed to Governor Jibrilla Bindow to offset their five months salary arrears.
The State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Rodney Nathan at this year’s World Teachers day celebration in Yola, appealed to the state government to honour the agreement.
The State Commissioner for Education Prof. Kaletapwa George responded that the state government had declared an emergency in the education sector, assuring that teachers would adequately be rewarded.

Teachers will be rewarded with what? What a stupid talk! Nonsense regime that gave little or no regard to the education of the poor and ordinary people. Our prayer today and always is that, who ever is benefiting from the teachers’ welfare package will not end well in Jesus name.
