The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abuja Zonal Command has arrested 49 suspects in connection with wire fraud
The suspects who were arrested after a raid on their location are the subject of a sting operation.
The suspects, were apprehended in a sting in multiple homes in Navy Estate, Cajaah-Orozo, an Abuja suburb, after credible intelligence on their suspected criminal activities.

50 mobile phones, 15 laptop computers, and a Lexus salon car were among the things seized from the suspects.
The spokesman of the EFCC said investigations are on, an indication more suspects would be picked up.
This development comes on a day an FCT High Court set aside contempt proceedings and all the orders of conviction for contempt against the Chairman of the anti-corruption agency.
