The Majority leader of Nigeria’s House of Representatives and leading contender for the Ninth National Assembly Speaker’s seat, Femi Gbajabiamila, says he now has the figure to clinch the exalted office.
Spokesman of the Femi Gbajabiamila Campaign Organisation, Abdulmumin Jibrin disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja.
Mr. Jibrin said the House leader was reaching out to the current Speaker, Mr Yakubu Dogara; former Speakers, opposition members and other speakership aspirants.
The Campaign group is optimistic of victory for its candidate come June when the 360 members- elect make their choice of Speaker
