The Delta State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has inaugurated its Campaign Management Committee in anticipation of the elections in 2023 with a commitment to conducting campaigns in each of the State’s wards.

Governor of the State and PDP vice presidential candidate Senator Ifeanyi Okowa claimed that the All Progressives Congress, had caused the nation to become the world’s capital of poverty while speaking at the inauguration event.

According to Okowa, only a party with relevant expertise, such as the PDP, could effectively rescue, rebuild, and reset the country so that it once again worked for the welfare of its residents.

He stated that given the country’s current position, only experienced leaders such as Atiku Abubakar could lift Nigeria out of the current state of despair brought by the incompetent and inefficient APC-led Federal Government.

He promised that the goal of the PDP is to rescue and reconstruct the country.

Governor Okowa also used the opportunity to urge members of the PDP in the state to settle their differences and remain united ahead of the elections.

In his remarks, the party’s governorship candidate and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, commended the Governor for his political savvy and adroit leadership skills, which he had used to manage the party’s affairs since 2015.

Oborevwori stated that Governor Okowa’s huge achievements had made campaigns simpler for the party in the state.

He went after Omo-Agege, accusing him of parochialism, avarice, abuse of power, and undemocratic tendencies during his stint as Secretary to the State Government.

Oborevwori stated that his M.O.R.E Agenda, which stands for “Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security,” was designed to consolidate and expand the current administration’s successes.

Chief Kingsley Esiso, the party’s state chairman, stated that the ceremony marked the start of the party’s campaign for the Presidency and Government House Asaba.
