The Nigerian security and Civil Defense Corps is deploying over 4000 personnel for the Saturday’s Imo governorship election.
Addressing Officers and Men of the command in Owerri the Imo State capital, the Commandant of the Corps, Matthew Ovye said any personnel found culpable during the Election will face the full wrath of the law.
As Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States decide who will be their Governor in the next four years, security agencies are gearing up to ensure Peaceful exercise.
Here in Imo State, the Nigerian security and Civil defense Corps is deploying over 4000 men in addition to what other sister security agencies will deploy to ensure the integrity of the process is protected.
The Commandant of NSCDC said it must remain peaceful before, during and after the Election as critical national assets must be protected during the election.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, the leader of businessmen and entrepreneurs group in the People’s Democratic party in Imo State says this is the best time to have change of Government.
At a press conference in Owerri, Mike Ikokwu said the deteriorating Security in the state should be a serious concern to many Residents.
For the NSCDC it’s a demonstration of combat readiness in preparation to the Governorship Election which is few days from now.
