Youths of itsekiri ethnic nationality have shutdown Olero and Dibi flow stations at Gbokoda Community in Warri North Local Government Area over the appointment of non-indigene as the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission.
The protesting Youths also demanded that the federal Government should dredge the Escravos Bar Mouth to Warri Port and Carnalisation of All Itsekiri riverine oil producing communities.

Itsekiri youths are unhappy with the decision that brought this early morning visit to Olero Flow station to shut down operation and send a strong signal to the Federal Government
They were also at the Dibi Flow Station to carry out the same mission stating other reasons for their action
NPA port Warri was also besieged by the angry youths to show the level of displeasure over the appointment of the NDDC MD by the Federal Government
Oziengbe flow station which is in Itsekiri community in Edo State witnessed the convergence of the Itsekiri youths as well.
