A lawmaker representing Agege State Constituency 1, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has been reelected Speaker of the Lagos 9th Assembly .
The nomination for him to be re-elected Speaker was moved by Mr Moshood Oshun, a member representing Lagos Mainland Constituency II and it was seconded by Mr Yinka Ogundimu, representing Agege Constituency II.
There was no other nomination for the position.
Obasa was the Speaker of the 8th Assembly and he is the highest ranking member of the House elected for a record fifth term to the Assembly.

In the same vein, Wasiu Eshinlokun Sanni , lawmaker representing Lagos Island constituency 1 was also returned as the Deputy Speaker.
