Children’s Parliament calls for implementation of Child Rights Act

The Federal Capital Territory Children’s Parliament has called on members of the House of Representatives to assist in pushing for the implementation of the Child Rights Act.

The Children bore their minds when they paid a courtesy call on the members of the House Committee on FCT and submitted resolutions reached at the fourth session of the fifth FCT Children’s Parliament in commemoration of the International Children’s Day 2017.

Among their demand is that the FCT Administration build on existing structures for a specialized child protection institution.

The Children’s parliament also wants the authorities to establish a Children Resource Centre in the capital city.
