The Zamfara state Government has spent Seventy Million Naira on treatment and surgery for patients with different eye problems across the fourteen local Government areas of the state.
Zamfara state commissioner for local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, Muhammadu Muntaka Rini disclosed this at the launch of the exercise in Talata Mafara local Government council.
More than Ten thousand people will benefit from the service, with each local Government having seven hundred patients.
