There is total compliance by Imo State workers to the directive of the organized Labour led by the Nigerian Labour Congress and The Trade Union Congress to proceed on indefinite strike.
The Strike was called by the unions to press home their demands for a new national minimum wage by the Federal, States Governments and the organised private sector.
Some civil servants who tried to resume duty this morning met the gates of the State Secretariat under lock and key.
The Labour leaders in the State who barricaded the entrance of the Secretariat were also seen chanting solidarity songs in support of their demands for a new national minimum wage.
