APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu says he is ready to renew the Hope Mantra of MKO Abiola that was dashed in 1993.

He publicly expressed excitement about his choice of JOS for the campaign flag-off during his visit to the state called the Home of Peace and Tourism.

The presidential candidate of the APC Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s choice of JOS for the party’s campaign flag-off has gone into the political history of Nigeria .

After the JOS National Convention of 1993 by the late MKO Abiola of the Social Democratic Party where the Hope Mantra was dashed, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has brought back history but this time around, to Renew the Hope.

The presidential flag-bearer of the APC after arriving JOS deemed it fit to pay a courtesy visit to the GBONG GWOM JOS.

He made public his excitement about choosing the Governor of Jos Simon Lalong as the Director-general of the Presidential Campaign Council as well as picking the State for the campaign flag-off.

He recounted the role he played in the historic moment of the late MKO Abiola’s visit to the State in 1993.

The former Lagos State Governor was one of the foot Soldiers of the winner of the June 1993 Presidential Election, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola under the platform of the then Social Democratic party.

Jos the Plateau State Capital was also the Stage from where the Presidential Bid of  Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola took off having won his then party’s Presidential Primaries there.

His choice and the All Progressives Congress of Jos as the take off point of the Party’s Presidential campaign flag off is seen as hugely symbolic.

He made his name as Pro-Democracy activist ibn the chaos that ensured post annulment of the June 12 Presidential Election still adjudged by many observers as the freest in the history of the Country.
