Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has signed into law, the bill repealing pensions and gratuity for former governors, deputy governors, Speakers and deputy Speakers.
Governor Uzodinma described the legislation as very important, saying the government is committed to building a strong economy that will survive post covid-19.
He also said the law will enable the state to manage its available resources judiciously.
