Upper sharia court 2 Gusau has granted bail to Ikra Bilbils, the Zamfara Central Senatorial Candidate of the people’s Democratic Party.
Part of the conditions for his bail is to produce two serving permanent Secretaries in the state civil service and a responsible person with a House worth twenty million naira in Gusau, Zamfara State
Ikra Bilbils was arrested on Tuesday by Security operatives after been interrogated for some Saveral hours over alledged sponsorship of Political thugs to vandalise Campaign billboards, posters and other items belonging to the APC during a welcome home rally in honor of Dauda Lawal, the embattled Governorship Candidate of the PDP
He is been accused of Criminal Conspiracy, Mischief, public disturbance and destruction of public peace and properties among others
Ikra Bilbils was earlier arraigned before a Majistrate Court one in Gusau
The presiding judge Abubakar Gurbin-Bore after listening to prosecutiob and defendant’s counsel, he transfered the case to sharia court 2 Gusau, saying that the Majistrate Court lack powers to entertain the case
He cites section 3 law number 7 of Zamfara State 2002 and section 5 of same law that gives the power to Majistrate Court to transfer such case to upper sharia court for determination.
Ikra Bilbils and six other PDP chieftains are on the list of those alledgedly sponsored some Political thugs to destroy APC and public properties last Sunday in Bakura, Talata Mafara, Maru and Bungudu Local Government areas
It would be recalled that the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Zamfara had yesterday accused the APC and state government of plan to arrest and jail it’s members
The Political crisis in Zamfara is not far from the quest for Dauda Lawal of the PDP to clinched the first Political seat while Governor Bello Matawalle is also working hard to be Re-elected come 2023.
