The Federal Government has been advised to ensure a functional national identification system to assist banks in identifying those who had defaulted in previous loans.
The advise was given by professor Kolapo Omidire, a proffessor of law while delivering the seventeenth inaugural lecture of the federal university, Oye Ekiti.
He challenged the federal government to solve the challenges of eeta banking in Nigeria in order to strengthen banks to provide loans for entrepreneurs.
Prof Omidire also tasked the federal government to ensure that national identity management commission issue necessary physical ID cards to Nigerians.
