Twenty-eight million dollars irrigation scheme is coming up in Uganda to assist farmers to produce more food and earn higher incomes.
Namatala irrigation scheme will specifically help dry season farmers in the remote areas.
Starting in July, the project is intended to strengthen the country’s competitiveness for sustainable wealth creation.
Minister for Water and Environment, Sam Cheptoris, says the irrigation is intended to establish a stable agricultural-production based environment.
