The combined forces of Nigerian Army troops from Combat Team 7 of the 27 Task Force Brigade and a hunters group have foiled an attempt to blow up a Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) tower near Kasesa village on the outskirts of Damaturu, Yobe State.
Following credible intelligence on Boko Haram activities, troops swiftly laid a successful ambush on the terrorists and foiled their attack, causing them to abandon their explosive devices.

Items recovered from the scene include one Toyota Corolla, eight prepared Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), detonating cables, two damaged tyres, and a trade test card/certificate.
