President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have departed Abuja for Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, to attend the eighth-day prayer in honor of the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.
The solemn event will take place at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, where Governor Dapo Abiodun and other dignitaries will join them.
Oba Adetona, died on July 13 at the age of 91 after a reign spanning over 65 years, making him one of Nigeria’s longest-serving traditional rulers. He was buried the following day in Ijebu-Ode according to Islamic rites.
