Tianjin Quanjian are working on a deal to sign Chelsea striker Diego Costa when the Chinese transfer window re-opens on June 19th.
The Chinese Super League club failed to sign Costa during the January window, but will now try again in the summer.
Tianjin want to make Costa the best-paid player in the world, with a contract worth 650,000 pounds a week after tax.
Costa, whose Chelsea contract runs out in 2019, has scored 17 Premier League goals this season, but only 3 this year.
Tianjin are managed by Italian World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro.
