TERRORISTS KILL10 NSCDC PERSONNEL AT KADUNA MINING SITE

At least Seven personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been reportedly killed by suspected terror while on an official trip to Kuriga mining site in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Incidence was said to have happened at about 10 am on Monday and it has been confirmed on the official twitter handle of the NSCDC.

It was gathered that slain victims were ambushed and killed alongside 5 others person from a sister security agency and local security service.

The NSCDC authorities also confirmed that the bandits carted away the riffles of the slain operatives.

They further explained that the remains of the slain officers and men have been recovered and deposited at the Barau Diko Hospital Kaduna.

The Commandant General of the Corp, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, described the attack as big loss to the Corp, families of the slain victims and the nation.

The CG has also directed that the Corps’ flag be hoisted at half-mast and that a national prayer involving both Christians and Muslims be organized at the Corps National headquarters, Abuja, to pray for Gods protection for all officers and men of the Corp.

POLICE NEUTRALISED TWO GUN RUNNERS IN ZAMFARA

Police in Zamfara has Neutralised two gun runners, recover three rocket -Propelled Grenade (RPG), three Explosive Shells, One hundred and fifty one rounds of Anti-aircraft ammunition, and assorted charms

The items were recovered from gun runners along Gummi – Anka Road while on their way to deliver the weapons to terrorists in their enclaves in Zamfara Forest

The gun runners were said to have brought the weapons from Taraba state, North East Nigeria

The feat according to the police was recorded following an Intelligence Information received on the movement of the suspects in a Toyota Corolla Vehicle carrying the exhibits

Two of the suspects were fatally injured while others escaped to the bush with possible gun shot wounds

A press statement signed by the police image maker Shehu Mohammed says Stop search by police operatives led to the recovery of the deadly weapons

The statement adds that additional security Operatives and local vigilante were deployed to the affected area for rigorous confidence building patrol aimed at apprehending the fleeing suspects

The Zamfara police reassures of it’s Continuous commitment to rid the state of terrorists and other criminal activities for the good of all.
