It’s another day of protest by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria.
This time the sect members demonstrated along Aguyi Ironsi Street in the Maitama District of Abuja.
They chanted their usual songs demanding the release of their sheikh Ibrahim Elzakzaky who has been in detention since December 2015.
Recall that a similar protest was held yesterday Tuesday in Abuja which turned violent.
The protest caused a set back to vehicular traffic while offices in the area shut their gates.
Today’s protest follows the fracas that occurred at the National assembly yesterday where the protest by Shiite members turned violent with some persons sustaining injuries.
