A clash between Uyanga and Ojoh communities in Cross River state has left several people dead, properties worth millions destroyed and the town where the violence occurred, deserted.
Eyewitnesses said about eight persons have been killed and those who were wounded have been taken to a nearby hospital.
Mobile policemen have been patrolling the town to secure the area.
