The senate is not relenting in its rejection of Ibrahim Magu as the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The senate insists its position is propelled by Magu’s indictment by a security report.
The latest reaction comes on the heels of comments credited to the Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, that the Senate only stepped down Magu’s screening, but did not reject his nomination.
The Senate Committee Chairman on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Sabi Abdullahi, maintains any contrary view remains the opinion of individual senators.
