The House Committee on Population is to probe issues militating against the success of the National Identity card scheme following the delay in its issuance by the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC.
The resolution followed the adoption of a motion by Representative Lovette Idisi from Delta State.
The legislators expressed concern that while majority of Nigerians who registered are yet to receive their cards, the few lucky ones who received theirs cannot use it in banks.
