Presidential Bola Tinubu has led the remains of former President, Muhammadu Buhari, on its way to Daura for burial.

The President who received the body on arrival at the Katsina airport at 2pm from the United Kingdom from a Federal Government delegation led by Vice President, Kashim Shettima, led other government functionaries and eminent Nigerians on the final lap of the story of Muhammadu Buhari.

A crowd of admirers from across all walks of life were also on hand to lead him on his final journey.

Members of the Military burial party comprising of serving officers equivalent of the rank of Major General across the service have placed the body in the Ambulance for the journey to Daura.

This is the second State burial for a Nigerian leader from Katsina State with the first being the 2010 interment of former President Umar Musa Yar’Dua who was then a serving President.

The situation this time is different with former President Muhammadu Buhari aside being a former two term President, a former Military Head of State and an accomplished soldier.

His burial ie expected to be with full Military honours and is expected to happen before sunset in accordance with Islamic rites.
