The Abia state police command has urged residents to ignore Friday’s planned protests and sit-at-home notice, issued by the Biafra Movement.
According to the Abia state Commissioner of Police, Leye Oye-bade, nobody or group has the power to give such orders except the Federal and state Governments.

He also maintained that the Police have the manpower to protect lives and property of people in the state, and urged them not to panic but go about their normal businesses.
