Police Rescue Six-Month-Old Baby, Fourteen Others In Zamfara Forest

Rescued Victims by Zamfara State Police Command

Police in Zamfara has rescued fifteen kidnapped victims after four days in Captivity

The victims Include six Women, seven Men and two Including a six Months old baby.

They were abducted Monday evening by a large number of heavily armed bandits who blocked the ever busy Gusau – Tsafe road and are taken to magazu forest

Magazu forest is one of the forests armed bandits in Zamfara use as their camps and hideouts

Addressing newsmen at the command Headquarters, the police Spokesperson Mohammed Shehu says all those abducted were rescued unconditionally

He adds that the rescue operation was conducted following an intelligence report on the incident

The victims according to the police were medically checked and reunited with their families

The Zamfara police Commissioner Kolo Yusuf congratulates the rescued victims for regaining their freedom and assures of police commitment to protecting lives and property all the citizens.

The police again enjoin members of the public to be Security continous and always assist the police with timely and useful Information.

This Development is coming less forty eight hours after police intercepted live ammunition concealed in groundnut sack and arrested six Suspected armed bandits Including foot soldiers of some Notorious bandit Leaders Bello Turji and Halilu Kachalla.

FMC OWO DISCHARGES TEROR ATTACK VICTIMS

The Federal Medical Centre, FMC Owo in Ondo State, has discharged all the victims of the June 5, 2022 terror attack in the town, where dozens of people were killed.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Ahmed Liasu Adeagbo, who disclosed this at a press briefing in Owo, said the state government played key role in ensuring that the victims were well-treated.

The new year is here and the management of the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Owo decided to take stocks and examine things left undone in 2022.

The meeting gave the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Ahmed Liasu Adeagbo opportunity to take a critical look at the June 5 terror attack in Owo, which left dozens dead.

Many of the victims of the terror attack were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

According to the Chief Medical Director, all the victims that were brought to the hospital alive, have been discharged.

He was appreciative of the efforts of the state government, geared towards saving lives of the victims.

The Chief Medical Director is also worried about mass exodus of health workers from the country.

He believes that the health challenges facing Nigeria can be addressed with adequate funding and constant recruitment to address shortage of manpower.
