Police in Zamfara state said scores killed and properties destroyed in five communities of Maradun and Tsafe local government areas.
They had earlier denied the attacks.
The force assured renewed commitment at protecting communities across the state, adding that they are in synergy with other security agencies to stem the tide of banditry there.
Personnel will now be employing discreet investigation to arrest perpetrators of crime.
